The news anchors have the job of scripting and presenting the introduction and closing to each episode of Wave TV. They also connect the stories in each episode. Its a responsible job where students need to work in a team with the camera crew, the director and each other to produce episodes.
- Stories are scripted by the Anchors in the Wave TV wiki.
- The Anchor script is printed out. Anchors & the news crew keep a copy.
- Anchors have a week to practise and perfect the script in their own time and with Wave TV coaches, making any necessary script improvements.
- The script is enlarged and used as a prompt during filming.
- After filming, the Anchors edit and approve their segments.
First choice for being an anchor in 2013 was given to the year 8s as this will be their final year at Paremata School. 20 year 8s volunteered so we will need to make 10 episodes for everyone to get a turn. If you have changed your mind about anchoring please tell me ASAP. I'll send out permission slips for you and your caregivers to sign on Monday 26th November. Thank you all for volunteering. We couldn't make Wave TV without our wonderful anchors!
